On Thursday, October 16th, we received word that our dear friend, Dick Curtis, passed away after a bout with cancer. In our eyes, he has been a pillar in the sangha. A pillar of love, inspiration and devotion. Someone who said 'yes' in the deepest sense: yes to love, yes to the truth, yes to yes. With his beloved wife, Susanna, closely beside him for 30 years, he has been a true friend to many. We love him very much and we will miss him.
As a volunteer, Dick created and maintained Gangaji's current website over the last 10 years. After first teaching himself how to write the necessary code, he worked closely with the Gangaji Foundation staff and other volunteers, to offer a remarkable gift to the worldwide sangha. His efforts have touched so many lives. It is impossible to find the words to convey the depth of gratitude we have for Dick's contribution.
It has been a privilege to have Dick in our lives, working side-by-side with us. And we are grateful for the memories we share of his twinkly eyes, brilliant mind and his delightfully irreverent wit.
With great tenderness in our hearts... Thank you, Dick. Thank you, thank you, thank you. |
